Andrew Healy's Drive for Prostate Cancer Awareness in Support of Aid Cancer Treatment

Andrew Healy is encouraging men across Cork and beyond to prioritise early detection and regular PSA testing following his own prostate cancer diagnosis in September 2025.

Andrew’s fundraiser, “My Drive For Prostate Cancer Awareness”, is supporting Aid Cancer Treatment while also helping spread awareness around the importance of annual PSA blood testing for men, particularly those over 50 years of age.

After receiving his diagnosis in September 2025, Andrew acted quickly and began treatment early following a PSA blood test.

“I got ahead of the cancer with early detection, and I've now completed my radiotherapy in the Glandore Centre in the CUH and I'm on the road to complete recovery.”

Andrew is now using his experience to encourage other men not to delay health checks or ignore symptoms, highlighting how important early testing can be in improving outcomes and recovery.

As part of the fundraiser, Andrew hosted a special awareness and fundraising event at Bandon Golf Club on Sunday April 12th, where supporters were invited to join him on the driving range for a few drives while helping raise funds for Aid Cancer Treatment.

Funds raised will help Aid Cancer Treatment continue supporting cancer patients and cancer research initiatives through services based at the Glandore Centre in Cork University Hospital.

People can still support Andrew’s fundraiser by donating directly through the official fundraiser page. which has now exceeded €20,000
